CCA 2023 PLAYOFF FORMAT

2023 PLAYOFF FORMAT (Article XVIII)
 
T40 Premier League Format for 2023 – Total 18 teams teams will play the CCA league games
• Each team will play 12 games for 2023 season
• All 18 teams will be ranked based on the Points & NRR (If a tie, then Head-Head will be considered OR most # of wins)
• Top 8 team will be qualified for 2023 Playoffs
• For 2023, CCA will use the standard 8 teams playoffs bracket (1 Vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5) which will be followed by Semifinals & Grand Finals Section
 
 
T20 League Format for 2023 – Total 24 Teams will play the CCA league games.
• Each team will play 12 games for 2023 season
• All 24 teams will be ranked based on the Points & NRR ( If a tie, then Head-Head will be considered OR Most# of wins)
• Top 12 team will be qualified for 2023 Playoffs
• For 2023, below will be the Playoff bracket:
• Teams Ranked from #1 to #4 will be directly qualified for Quarterfinals
• Teams Ranked from #5 to #12 will be playing Pre-Qtrs. finals (5 vs 12, 6 vs 11, 7 vs 10, 8 vs 9)
• Quarterfinal’s format will be standard 8 teams playoffs bracket - (1 Vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5) which will be followed by Semifinals & Grand Finals

​PLAYOFF ELIGIBILITY:
  • REGULAR PLAYERS (Player who has registered with a CLUB and will be playing for the same club in the playoffs) – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA is 40% of the 12 games (rounded down to the completed games) i.e. 4 GAMES
  • TRANSFERRED PLAYER (Player who has registered with CLUB A, transferred before the deadline date and will be playing for new CLUB B in the playoffs) – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA is 4 GAMES with the NEW CLUB
 
PLAYOFF GROUNDS: Playoffs grounds are being locked mid-way through the 2023 season for both T40 & T20
  • GROUND for playoffs is based on the RANKING for 2023 (after 12 games completion)
  • TOP RANKING teams do not have an option to pick the ground and date. SC team will publish the playoff details based on the Ranking and below GROUND assignments.

Note: All the grounds are subjective to availability and ground readiness, CCA Grounds admin team will closely monitor ground conditions before we head into playoffs and suggest any changes required.
